NEW Escape Room

The variety of experiences in town for visitors and locals alike to immerse themselves in what Clunes has to offer has just increased with the official launch of Clunes Neighbourhood House’s new “Escape Room”.

The Escape Room is a permanent addition, located at BOOM Clunes in the historic State Bank building.  The first game of many is called “The Secret Life of Gold” and was launched on Sunday, 10th August, in time for market weekend.

Ideal for small groups or pairs, the escape room invites people to step back into the town’s storied gold rush era. Carefully crafted puzzles and immersive storytelling will transport players into a world of intrigue, where they have just 60 minutes to solve the riddles and escape!

100% of the funds raised via the Escape Room will support community programming; including the Gaming Society every second Friday at 6pm at Attitude. “The Escape Room is an experience developed with the support of the FRRR Strengthening Rural Communities program, “ said Deb Bright, Coordinator.

“Escape Rooms are such fun in a group,” said Deb, “So it’s ironic that developing it has been a real team effort, aided by the volunteers at Neighbourhood House who helped build the props and refined by students from both Daylesford College and Federation University.”

“We are the only Escape Room available in Hepburn Shire and look forward to getting the word out about it, so people add it to their itinerary when they visit the region.  It’s even better that the funds raised can go straight back into community programming.”

Bookings for the Clunes Escape Room are now open at www.boomclunes.org or you can just pop into the shop on Thursday - Monday, 10am til 3pm
